A NEW YEAR

Whew.. I am tired. It has been a crazy few weeks. Christmas was great and it was wonderful having my hubby home to enjoy it. The only crazed part was our water froze and we were out of water for a week. I admit my fascination with the Amish, but I did not enjoy the lack of indoor plumbing for a week. Maybe if we had a well that was in our front yard and not a spring where our overflow pipe flows out of our reservoir that is down a large hill that I slip on while carrying the 5 gallon buckets full of water up while feeling my heart beat through my chest...(Needless to say I felt very out of shape) Or maybe if I had one of those wringer washing machines that my grandmother used to have so I could of at least kept up with the mountain of laundry that accumulated... I could get by with the boiling water to do the dished (especially the big Christmas feast, FUN) and I could even get by with the old fashioned baths, but the potty and the washing, UGH. Let's just say that 6 people using the potty is not a pretty sight when you have lug up all the water to flush. It seemed like we would no sooner fill up the back of the toilet and someone would stink it up so to speak. Thank goodness is unfroze. I am glad it is the new year and I am determined to not let my water freeze! I am praying on this especially cold night with the below zero temps that it does not freeze. I am letting the water RUN not trickle. Some funny things that have happened are:
  • Abbybear learned cousin Collins infamous " blah blah blah" which I greatly enjoy hearing from her. (NOT, do you hear my auntie??)
  • Abby also calls everyone a "meaner" when she feels injustice has occurred.
  • A little boy I was keeping picked up Abby's play princess phone, pointed it at me and pushed the button that makes the noise like it is taking a picture, looked at the sticker of Sleeping Beauty on the screen and said "Hey, dat not you!"

This year is gonna be great!
